Each hand-woven rug / wall hanging is made with a linen warp (threads running vertically) and British rug wool or cotton weft (threads running horizontally). I use a variety of traditional rug weaving techniques including plain weave, twill and block weave with Collingwood shaft switching to achieve vibrant and contemporary designs. Occasionally, I custom dye the cotton weft yarns prior to the weaving process for interesting design effects.
